Alan C. Young, MST, CPA | Founder and CEO

Mr. Young’s public accounting experience began in January 1977 with Deloitte & Touche (formerly Haskins and Sells). Under the direction of Deloitte, he was the “Supervising Accountant” on several audit jobs including Fisher Body–Livonia and General Motors Assembly Division (G.M.A.D.). The latter years of experience were as an international tax specialist and senior accountant, which included foreign tax work on location in Saudi Arabia.

In 1993, Mr. Young was acknowledged by the Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce through their Detroiter Magazine (July 1993) as one of Detroit’s five emerging Black leaders. He appeared on television as a guest tax consultant on various occasions with Mort Crim and Kathy Adams (WDIV) and has also been featured as a financial consultant and business owner on such talk shows as Detroit Black Journal, Financially Speaking, Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce’s Business Page program and Polaris Communication’s Color of Money.

Mr. Young is a graduate of Michigan State University, and he also holds a Masters in Taxation from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan.

He is an active member of various charitable, civic, and community organizations including the Booker T. Washington Business Association (Past Chairman), the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce (Board Member), the Federal Reserve Board of Chicago (Past Advisor), and was appointed by the Governor to the Michigan State Board of Accountancy.

Anil Sakhuja, MBA, FCA, CPA| Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Sakhuja has over 30 years of experience in private and public accounting, auditing, taxation, finance and management consultancy. He has been with Alan C. Young and Associates since 1990. He is an expert in the areas of financial and compliance audits of governmental and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining Alan C. Young & Associates, he held senior finance and management positions with large manufacturing and professional service companies.

Mr. Sakhuja was the General Manager Finance at Super Cassette Industries Limited; the largest manufacturer of audio/video tapes, CD’s and other related products in India. In addition, he has worked as a senior auditor in large public accounting firms in India. Other experience includes a position as a senior internal auditor with Weston Electronics Limited, the largest manufacturer of television sets and the pioneers in bringing color television and video games to India.

He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is involved in social welfare programs with various communities and organizations.
